Margaret Valerio

“In nature’s infinite book of secrecy, a little can I read”– William Shakespeare.

Born curious, Margaret quickly developed twin passions of nature and theatre.  Childhood visits to the local wildlife sanctuary eventually led to working with the Farmington River Watershed Association, where their collective effort resulted in legal protection for two rivers in the United States.  Margaret’s playful approach to environmental advocacy comes from her semesters at London Dramatic Academy and Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford, where she learned acting is about doing something.  While her research at Brown University and Simon Fraser University focused on climate modelling and paleoceanography, her work at Hot or Cool summons both her dramatic flair and scientific mind.
